Compression stockings for varicose veins

Compression stockings are a fundamental pillar in the management of varicose veins. Its degree will vary depending on the magnitude of the varicose veins that the patient has, which translates into a greater impact of venous hypertension on him. Therefore we find indications in:

Compression stockings of 15 to 20 mmHg for patients with small varicose veins of little impact,

Compression stockings of 30 to 40 mmHg for subjects with large, high impact varicose tracts, and

Compression stockings of 20 to 30 mmHg for the rest of the patients in an intermediate condition and that form a fairly large group of the population.
